I am happy to step into the world of designing Colouring pages for adults with Zenthusiasm Colouring Pages!
To say that I am excited would be an understatement. I love building new creations in alignment with my passions, skills and interests. Designing these intuitive doodle colouring pages is another extension to my multifaceted nature.
Allow me a moment to introduce myself, specially for the sake of those who would not be knowing me - I am Tiara, an intuitive artist/illustrator/designer, motivational writer, nature/travel photographer, spiritual empowerment educator, holistic life coach & personal development guide. I describe myself as a creative, multipassionate entrepreneur and I love translating my passions into solo-preneurial ideas.
Coming back to my latest offering, Zenthusiam - Colouring Pages is a printable set of hand-drawn 15 (+1 bonus) colouring pages designed by me, for adults. While children naturally enjoy colouring, my motive is to facilitate adults to get back to the habit of colouring to enhance mindfulness and holistic well-being. Somewhere along the journey of life, we forget that there exists a child within us that's quite intelligent and needs to be nurtured. Colouring provides the means to connect to our true, balanced, curious, exploratory self and gets us back into the groove after / during a tough day at work or stressful situations at home, or puts our mind in the right state as we begin our day in the morning.
These colouring pages are an assortment of zentangles, patterns, mandalas and doodles to warm your heart with joy, inspiration, creativity and positivity. The first five designs are simple ones, can be used as warm ups or whenever you're in the mood to try something easy. The next seven are moderate ones, and the last three are complex designs which you can try when you are up for some real self-challenge :-) The bonus page is an "I am Awesome" affirmation page to remind you of who you really are, just in case :-)
The fun thing about printable colouring pages is that you can print them as many times as you like (for your own individual, non-commercial, household use only). You can print them on any type of paper that can safely run through your printer, including hot-pressed or smooth watercolour paper. It is suggested that for normal printers, one can go for paper of maximum 180 gsm. Depending on the type of paper you use, you can colour these pages with a wide variety of media. For instance, on the usual printer paper of 75 gsm, you can use coloured pencils, crayons, gel pens, ball pens, sketch pens and markers. If using paper of 140 - 180gsm, you can experiment with watercolours, acrylics, watercolour pencils, glitter pens and gouache! In case you’re concerned about whether your printer will work with artist grade paper, no worries! You can always print the pages on regular printer paper, and trace them out on any A4 size paper of any thickness! Wouldn’t that be another interesting exercise to try?!! Please do read through the copyright policy and Terms and Use though :-)
Another great thing about printables is that you don't have to worry about colouring the page "just right" on your first (or second or third!) try. Do not hold yourself back owing to the need for perfection. You can feel free to experiment with different colour schemes, different media, and different techniques. It's an opportunity to explore your creativity and have fun, knowing that you can print the page again if you have a new idea to colour or want to take your colouring in a different direction! Colouring truly helps you open up to creative thinking, i.e. becoming more aware of limitless possibilities and various perspectives in life!
But there's much more than just the fun to colouring. I have written an in-depth article about 10 reasons why you should try taking up colouring as a practice. I love how neuroscience and philosophy merge at this point. It is important you give it a read. Check it out here.
I truly hope and believe that with the help of these colouring pages, you will enjoy your time as you delve deep into yourself and come face to face with the wonderful creation that you yourself are!
